The Call

The Call

Lithe music dances on my ears
A violin plays its soft solo.
Seeming content in solitude
The melody rings for a duo.
In that single voice an open door
Imagined gateway to orchestral delights
Amid the stark concrete and steel
Against unmoved blanket of night.
Self made harmony four strings play
Notes that ignore the harsh of world.
Whirlwind song captures my heart
And from my hand a poem unfurled.
