The sentence: Ultimately, young Baxter knew he faced his death.

Here is mine:

Ultimately, young Baxter knew he faced his death. Waves crashed against the broken hull, spitting insults at him. Sea water tore into his wounds. He watched his life seep through the bandages into the rising pools. Minnoh waited for him in the darkness below, where he would challenge his fate when he died.
