And if you’re wondering what an NFT is, you’re not alone.

NFT = non-fungible token.

Non-fungible means that the *thing* (represented by the word “token” in this case) can’t be replaced with something else and be though of as having the same value.

One could argue that my hubs is a non-fungible token, but the jury’s still out on that one.

In plain language, a digital NFT is an asset (a thing of value) that a large chain of computers have validated for its existence, ownership, and value. These have exploded into the new crypto/virtual economy, including being gamefied and being the centre of entire communities.
