  1. My first initial thought ,after,getting over my fright that is, would be now I know how a soldier felt on the battlefield with one of those pointed at him.You immediately go into survival mode. It myself or the other guy.You know he is thinking the same thing so it is whomever shoots first conquers their enemy. To be faced with such a large display automatically put me in a mindset just how vunerable we are,and how short a lifespan we could have.So we should take each day and really savor its moments,whether they be good or bad. You never know when it could be your last.

    1. Great insight Connie! I have two pictures of this display and I chose this one because the angle is less intimidating than the way a person first sees it when they walk into the museum. I didn’t want to trigger anyone who reads the blog! When you first walk into this area of the museum, the guns are all pointing at you. Facing these weapons is a shocking reminder of what people went through during the war. A distinct impact!
