FREE Genre Book Event 10 am to 5 pm

Supernatural monsters, aliens, dragons, and all things fantastical take over the Whitby Curling Club this Saturday.

This event is the inaugural BookMarkIt Genre Book Fair. I’m thrilled to be one of the vendors. Robert J. Sawyer is the event’s Special Guest.

Vendoring in person is great fun, and I wish I had the opportunity to do it more often. I love connecting with the reading and writing communities. Plus, books! And authors!

I hope to see you there.

Location:
Whitby Curling Club, 815 Brock St N, Whitby, ON L1N 4J3

A Poem for National Poetry Month

Divided Soul

Wait, my body, for the night,
When witness again the awesome sight
Of father’s ghost up in arms.
Now I am cursed with vengeful spite.

It is there, upon those lands,
Where his soul tormented stands.
“Revenge!” it cries, and it doth claim
Its blood blushes a brother’s hands.

“Slay the weed that now sings
For he deprived me of my wings.”
He belongs in blackest Hell,
Murderer of a noble king.

As for Mother, she will I test
The extent of sorrow within her breast.
I won’t harm her, so I’ve sword
To leave Heaven with the rest.

Let not my purpose go sour
Or wither like a funereal fl’wer.
But press my goal clear and straight
Charged as t’were by passion and power.
